February 21st, 2023 – February 26th, 2023
1st exhibition of The Bridge Gallery, a next-generation art gallery specialized in African photography
From February 21st to 26th, The Bridge Gallery will host its debut exhibition at Galerie 24B in Paris. Showcasing the talent of Ghanaian artist Sarfo Emmanuel Annor, The Bridge Gallery will present 16 artworks offering a captivating perspective on Ghanaian culture depicting Sarfo’s daily life through the lens of his Iphone and a lucid use of color therapy. This exhibition is in line with The Bridge Gallery’s mission to explore visual aesthetic sensibility through reflections on culture, heritage and identity.
The ‘Life in Color’ exhibition complements Sarfo Emmanuel Annor’s first NFT collection that marked the launch of The Bridge Gallery. Each physical print will come with a complementary NFT from the artist, showcasing the integration of blockchain in enhancing collector experiences.
In “Life in Color”, Annor pushes the boundaries of African portraits through his use of photographic material and bold, electric colors. In the artist’s words: “I use vibrant colors as a form of therapy. When people look at the colors, I hope it can affect them in a positive way.” His energetic portraits capture the essence of Africa’s cultural awakening, with a focus on children reflecting both the demographic significance of African youth and their crucial role in the continent’s future.
