Selfless Art Gallery, an online art space, is bringing a real-world pop-up exhibition to Tribeca this month. The exhibition, titled “The Multifaceted Journey Towards Inner Balance and Peace,” showcases the dynamic works of four artists: Sunday Olaniyi, Hector Maldonado, Eli Portman, and Pierre Salvan.
Since its establishment in New York in 2022, Selfless Art Gallery has committed to fostering personal and psychological exploration. Founder Maxine Henry emphasized, “Selfless Art Gallery is more than just an exhibition space. It serves as a platform for deep introspection and self-discovery, offering visitors a journey of self-realization and personal growth.”
Pierre Salvan’s piece, Dream Memory 1 (2024), epitomizes the gallery’s mission. Nigerian-born, U.S.-based Olaniyi uses glass beads and African culture to create portraits with abstract storylines. Boston-based muralist Portman employs watercolors to transport viewers to otherworldly landscapes, offering a visual escape from daily life. Salvan’s meditative line work and sparse color palette evoke inner peace.
Meanwhile, Maldonado, a Mexican artist and philanthropist, donates half the proceeds from his imaginative compositions to the Royal Holiday Foundation, reinforcing the exhibition’s theme of positive change.
Set against the bustling backdrop of Tribeca, Selfless Art’s “The Multifaceted Journey Towards Inner Balance and Peace” provides a moment of calm and a new perspective on self-acceptance. Don’t miss this chance to explore and reflect from June 5–9, 2024, at 72 Warren Street, New York.
