In a bid to foster a thriving community of emerging talents across the African continent and its diaspora, the inaugural Madhouse Residency Programme has opened its doors, inviting applications from aspiring artists, creators, and also innovators. This transformative initiative promises a holistic educational experience, brimming with support, mentorship, and essential resources.

Madhouse Residency Programme

The Madhouse Residency Programme is meticulously crafted to nurture and empower early-stage artists, creators, and innovators dedicated to sustainable practices. Participants are set to embark on a journey teeming with opportunities, including rent-free accommodation, dedicated studio spaces, a monthly stipend, enriching workshops, avenues for exhibitions, as well as access to a diverse network comprising fellow artists, collectors, curators, and cultural influencers.

The residency spans a duration of 2 to 3 months, commencing on July 1st, 2024, upon acceptance. English serves as the primary language of communication, facilitating seamless interaction and potential collaborations. While residents can avail themselves of support from MADhouse staff, the programme actively encourages independent practice, empowering residents to define their own artistic endeavors. It’s essential to note that selected participants are responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the programme.
