Applications are officially open for the 2026 edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair (ICTAF), and submissions will close on 26 September 2025. Recognized as the largest international art event on the African continent, the fair will take place from 20 to 22 February 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The upcoming edition will revolve around the curatorial theme “Listen”, which will shape both the expanded programme and the overall curatorial vision. Organizers describe the concept as an invitation to notice new and overlooked narratives, while elevating diverse artistic voices.
Prospective exhibitors can apply across several sections. The three core categories are Main, Lookout and Editions, which cater to established galleries, first-time exhibitors and editioned works respectively. In addition, four curated sections will return. Tomorrows/Today spotlights emerging artists. SOLO is dedicated to single-artist presentations. Generations explores intergenerational dialogues. Cabinet/ highlights curated displays. For the first time, ICTAF will also debut a dedicated Performance project, creating space for live and experimental works.
As Africa’s leading contemporary art fair, ICTAF attracts a global network of galleries, artists, collectors, curators, museum directors and art enthusiasts. Over the years, the event has established itself as a vital meeting point for the international art world, also fostering cross-cultural exchange and positioning Cape Town as a thriving hub for contemporary art.
Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of R3,000 plus VAT. The fair will notify accepted exhibitors in October 2025. Now entering its 13th edition, the Investec Cape Town Art Fair continues to play a pivotal role in connecting African art with the global market. To strengthen this vision, the organisers have appointed curators for each curated section: Dr. Mariella Franzoni from Barcelona, Spain for Tomorrows/Today, Celine Seror from Amsterdam, Netherlands for SOLO, Tandazani Dhlakama from Toronto, Canada for Generations as well as Beata America from Cape Town, South Africa for Cabinet/.
