Nothing is Unreal”, West Africa’s first hyper-realistic immersive experience is to be unveiled on December 1, 2023 and will be on display for a week at Sol Oniru, Lagos, Nigeria. The exhibition offers a transformative experience that seeks to reshape the audience’s perception on a surreal Lagos day. Through calming visuals, ambient sounds and interactive elements, the installation takes the viewer on a personal journey designed to reconnect them with nature. The serenity of this space also encourages the nostalgic exploration of cherished childhood memories.

Working together on this groundbreaking project is a talented team of creatives from across Africa which includes:  Mai Lasan; the Creative Director, Director Dammy Twitch, Dancer Hermes Ileye, Art Director Anita Ashiru, Muralist and Sculptor The Flying Bushman, Digital Artists Gabrielle Solanga & Papapdu, Composer and Sound Designer Claus Vega, Architect Kelechi Odu, Musician Lady Donli, and Lighting Technicians from Lightspeed Imaging. Together, they are pushing the boundaries as they combine their skills to create an unmatched sensory adventure.

According to Mai Lasan, the Founder and Creative Director of “Nothing is Unreal” her vision is for “Nothing is Unrealinvites the guests to nurture their sense of wonder and allows them to be curious and explore a new yet familiar world through the fusion of technology, art, & culture.”

Participants will be immersed in a hyper-realistic wonderland projected on three large screens. This experience will explore the depths of heritage, wonder and introspection while transporting the participants into the intimate and captivating world of NiU.
