In Lagos, Angels & Muse has become a unique fixture, known for its blend of residential and workspaces that encourage both productivity and reflection. The facility features two ensuite bedrooms, including a signature room designed to reflect the rich aesthetics of Nigerian artistry, alongside shared spaces such as a lounge and a kitchenette.

The design fosters community among residents, with dedicated areas that facilitate concentrated work as well as collaborative engagement.

The recent establishment of Angels & Muse in Benin City represents a larger ambition to decentralize Nigeria’s creative resources, bringing artistic opportunities to a region that, while culturally rich, has fewer formalized spaces for contemporary art practice.

The new Black Muse Residence within the Benin location introduces an art-focused accommodation, also enhancing the residency’s infrastructure to include short-term stays for visitors seeking immersive experiences in the local art scene.

The two locations now operate in tandem, supporting a growing number of artists within and beyond Nigeria’s borders. With its commitment to multidisciplinary engagement and cultural exchange, Angels & Muse is evolving into an influential model for artist residencies in West Africa, connecting creatives through a dual-city platform that broadens the scope of collaboration and highlights Nigeria’s role in the global art landscape.
