Ayoola Gbolahan is a talented and prolific artist from Lagos, Nigeria where he is currently based. Ayoola draws his inspiration from human anthropology and the unveiling of spirituality. Gbolahan’s expression of art can be called abstract expressionist using mediums such as pastels, acrylic, charcoal and pencil.
His contributions reach as far as the World Bank in Washington USA, the Nigerian National Gallery of Arts and the African Finance Corp in Nigeria to name a few. Gbolahan highlights early in his career the jumpstart being working with well known Nigerian artist, Tola Wewe where Gbolahan took part in a residency. Gbolahan’s works have been in solo and group exhibitions, both home and away; spanning the last two decades.
