Born in 1932, Agbarha-Otor, Delta State, Nigeria, the artist has made it his life’s work to create art. Creating beautiful Nigerian techniques with a flair of contemporary. He is known for using a variety of techniques and mediums to create pieces.
Bruce has inspired a number of artists, through his ideas and style. He is the founder of the Bruce Onobrakpeya Foundation, which gives a platform to artists to showcase their work and network with fellow artists all around the world.
On the this episode Bruce talks about his journey as an artist, and his thoughts on the Nigerian art scene. We also hear from a collector who provides insight on the art market as well.
